EFI 2027 Conference

Date: May 24-27, 2027

Location: Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

The Ecological Forecasting Initiative 2027 Conference will convene local, regional, national, and global leaders from the mathematical sciences, environmental sciences, decision sciences, translational ecology, epidemiology, data sciences, and related disciplines to advance the state of ecological forecasting.

Individuals from academia, government agencies, industry, and the non-profit sector are invited to come together in person to share cutting-edge research and applications in ecological forecasting.

There will be three days with keynote addresses, research and poster presentations, and time for networking. Optional time for working group and extended workshop activities is scheduled for May 24.

Submissions for working groups and workshops are now open until January 22, 2027. Submit proposals here: https://bit.ly/efi2027-workgroup-workshop

Working groups provide a closed session for people who want to advance an existing project or begin a new one, a funding application, a manuscript, or a project related to a standing EFI Working Group, etc. Working groups can either be open to new participants or be limited to previously identified participants. We expect working group participants to be present for the duration of the session instead of attending multiple sessions.
Working groups will be held on May 24.

Workshops provide open educational sessions for conference participants to learn new skills through topical training, tutorials, and demonstrations for the EFI community. Workshops can range in length from 1.5 to over 4 hours and may take place anytime between May 24 and 27, as the schedule allows. You can find other examples of workshops held at the EFI 2024, EFI 2025, and EFI 2026 conferences.
