Advances in Social Science Useful for Eco Forecasting

What are the new/exciting social science opportunities and methodological advancements in your field that ecologists might not be aware of that could advance ecological forecasting models and their use?

There's some really interesting work on behavior change techniques (nudges) that use social norms, networks, and other insights from behavioral psych to measure and influence decision-making. Mostly this is done in the context of individuals/ private citizens, but with potential applications in an organizational setting, where norms and social expectations still influence decisions.
